As a leading chocolate company in South East Asia, our
business growth over the years has been achieved through
the time-tested approach of developing winning brands
and innovative products by paying close attention to local
market trends; building our manufacturing capacities to meet
consumer demand; ensuring strong distribution capabilities
supported by a comprehensive distribution network; and
nurturing competent talent within our organisation. We are fully
committed to satisfying the evolving tastes of our consumers.
Today, the core markets where our portfolio of chocolate
confectionery products are marketed and sold are Indonesia,
the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia. Supporting these
activities are our two manufacturing facilities based in
Indonesia and the Philippines. The Group also distributes a
broad portfolio of reputable Agency Brands that allow us to
leverage the extensive distribution network we have built in
these important markets.
Our success is built on the rich heritage of our leading brands,
our extensive knowledge of the chocolate business, and
market leading expertise in manufacturing and distribution of
chocolate confectionery products. We believe that this is the
solid foundation that will enable continued business growth.
GROWINGWITHTHEMARKET ANDGROWINGTHEMARKET
The Indonesian and the Philippines markets are the two
largest chocolate confectionery markets in South East Asia.
Indonesia remains our largest market, where we command
more than 50% market share with our flagship brands that
include “SilverQueen”, “Ceres” and “Delfi”. We are also a leading
player in the Philippines, where our “Goya” and “KnickKnacks”
brands are household names.
The macroeconomic headwinds faced by Indonesia in 2015
resulted in weaker consumer sentiment which caused a
significant slowdown in sales to our trade customers for the
overall chocolate confectionery category. Notwithstanding this,
